  • ASPRS Mid-South Regional Conference Update + Abstract submissions for talks and posters have closed but you can still register to attend (in-person or virtual). Please consider registering for the conference using this link: https://lnkd.in/gQg2V-vd + Planet, as one of our conference sponsors, will present a workshop entitled Broad Area Monitoring in Support of Climate Security and Crisis Management Planet’s global, daily collection and years of archive data, along with key partners and analytic solutions, enable broad area detection and monitoring to deliver unclassified, actionable information. Collectively, these solutions enable the geointelligence sector to identify and act on activity-based signals that were once difficult to discern. During this session, we hope to have an open discussion on the application of broad area monitoring to support the preparation, mitigation, response and recovery from climate-related events, including natural disasters and the increased risks of geopolitical instability when food and water access are affected. We will share how this community can leverage Planet’s deep archive and broad area monitoring capabilities for informed decision-making and enhanced crisis management. + For those coming in-person for the conference, check out local events happening in the Knoxville area on May 11: https://lnkd.in/g3XSdXXs + Stay in touch with the conference using this link: https://lnkd.in/g26cHuim + Below is a snapshot of Main Street at Oak Ridge National Laboratory- a place for staff and students to mingle- displaying many of the flags representing researchers working with us on research and development.
