I want to sincerely thank our outgoing Board Members for their service and thank all in the ESIP Community who raised their hands to serve in leadership.
The excitement is building for the
Winter Meeting. If you have not yet registered there is still time! If you want to know more about how the ESIP staff is applying lessons learned from the Summer Meeting please see
this blog post authored by Erin and myself that includes a link to the full formal evaluation of the Summer Meeting. We realize that many organizations are looking to deliver the best virtual meeting experience possible and we are always willing to share our insights.
For the Winter Meeting, we have a new opportunity to share and we need your help to spread the word. As part of our effort to focus on increasing diversity and inclusivity at ESIP we have launched a
scholarship program to provide complimentary registration to the Winter Meeting to 15 Black and Latino students. Ideally, we are looking for students in their final year of undergraduate study, graduate students, and early postdocs. The idea is to work further upstream from our pool of Community Fellows to engage with potential future fellows. There is a short application that can be found
here and the deadline to apply is January 15th. Please forward this opportunity to individuals who you think would be interested.
Keep safe.
