Pre-Register for Upcoming Tribal-only Listening Sessions
April 10, 11 & 16, 2024
You are invited by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to participate in upcoming Tribal-only listening sessions.
In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), DOE issued a draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to analyze the impacts of the Department’s proposed action to acquire high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU) for commercial nuclear energy use or demonstration projects and to facilitate the domestic commercialization of HALEU fuel production.
The draft EIS evaluates potential environmental impacts of DOE’s proposed action on various environmental and community resources.
As part of the public comment period, DOE is hosting three virtual Tribal-only Listening Sessions to share information on the process used to analyze the Proposed Action and Alternatives and gather Tribal comments and feedback on the Draft EIS.
All attendees must register. These listening sessions are for Tribal participants only. Interested members of the public have the opportunity to participate in public hearings on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 and can pre-register by clicking here.
These events are closed to press.
